本会事業の広報、内外の学界動向ならびに会員通信等多方面にわたるインフォメーションを適宜提供し、会員との連絡および関係学会・団体機関との連繋を図ることを目的としている。
　また、1986年の第32回ICANAS以降、第37回会議までICANAS国内委員会と協力し、詳細な会議内容の報告を特集してきたが、2004年12月同委員会の解散により2007年度の第38回会議から単独でICANASの特集を組むこととなった。

Tōhō Gakkai-hō is the Tōhō Gakkai’s biannual bulletin in Japanese reporting the Institute’s annual activities with a focus on the International Conference of Eastern Studies (ICES) in May and its annual general meeting in November respectively. It also carries a report on the present state of Eastern studies at major universities in Japan, individual member scholars’ correspondence, and various kinds of news and information on Eastern studies both at home and abroad. Since its 31st Congress of 1983 a detailed report on the International Congress of Asian and North African Studies (ICANAS) has been published in this bulletin.
